Is Nightblade class easy to use for an ESO beginner?

This is a personal perspective, and although some players may believe that the ESO Nightblade class is the simplest to play, in my opinion, it is actually the middle of the road to advanced use.

There are a few factors that make Nightblade difficult. This class provides incredible single target damage for beginning players, but as I level it up and progress through the game, I find it difficult to deal with large packs of enemies, especially Magicka Nightblades.

The luxury of having weapon skills, attractive cones, and AOE damage are available in Stamina Blade. I think the burst damage is extremely amazing, however for some reason I have a lot of trouble with different enemy encounters.

The fact that the Nightblade only has two AOE damage-dealing abilities—Drain power and Path of darkness—leads me to believe that this is the case. However, aside from possibly their ultimates, that's really their only other damage-doing AOE skill. Some of these are acquired as you progress through the game, but I felt like I was suffering in AOE fights a lot. It is what it is.

Another reason I find Nightblade difficult is it is hard to see the area that is being affected when you use the skills during the fight. This creates mass confusion for, not only me but a ton of other players as well.

These are the only two reasons I feel Nightblades are a bit on the advanced side than the beginner. But we’re here to make it beginner-friendly, aren’t we? So, let’s just focus on that.

Nightblade has an execution that is just absolutely bonkers. Not every class really has an execute at the beginning. You have the execute that both stamina and Magicka DPS can use.

The Nightblade has got insane resistance against the tank which will save you from a lot of trouble in the beginning.

Another unique thing about this class is that it has amazing built-in Crit and sustain-on skills. The mobility of Nightblade is off-the-charts.

All Nightblade Skills and Passives

Alright. Now is the time. Let's switch gears and talk about all the skill lines and break down the skills and how and why you would use them. Nightblade has three different skill lines that offer different utilities and effects on your gameplay. The first is…

The Assassination Skill Line

Consider this your damage skill line. This line is one of the strongest in the game with active and passive abilities.

The number one skill up is Deathstroke. This is your base morph and this ability acts as a low-cost burst alt tool both in PVE and PVP. You'll get passes for slotting and a massive boost in DPS for a short time and it doesn't cost that much.

Assassin's blade is your base morph and it acts as an executive. You start to use it right around 25 health or lower throughout the boss fights and you have two morphs to pick from. One is the killer's blade, which is typically your stamina-based morph since it deals disease damage it also does a little bit of healing which is really nice.

Passive includes Master assassins that increase your physical and spell penetration and your duration of stun by 100%. Executioner allows you to get 1000 Magicka and stamina if your enemy dies within 2 seconds. You also get two more passive; Pressure Points and Haemorrhage.

Shadow skills Lines

This skill line focuses on offensive skills with increasing your stealth abilities. You get to play with ultimate skills like Consuming Darkness which conjures a ring of shadow around the enemies and slows their movements by 70%.

Bolstering Darkness is another ultimate skill you get in this line that along with slowing down the enemy gives you and your group major protection for 10 seconds against enemies.

The active abilities include Veiled Strike, Concealed Weapon, Surprise Attack, Shadow Cloak, Dark Cloak, Shadowy Disguise, Path of Darkness, Refreshing path, Twisting path, Aspect of Terror, and Manifestation of terror.

You will get passive abilities like Refreshing shadows, shadow barrier, dark vigour, and dark veil.

Syphoning skill lines

These skills will be your survival and healing skills that will increase your ability to drain and sustain in the battle. This line is the third and the last skill line in the Nightblade skill set.

This set includes ultimate abilities like soul shred, soul syphon, and soul tether. You will also get active abilities like strife, funnel health, swallow soul, malevolent offering, healthy offering, shrewd offering, cripple, crippling grasp, debilitate, syphoning strikes, leeching strikes, syphoning attacks, and drain power.

And lastly the passive abilities. It includes Catalyst, Magicka flood, soul siphoner, and transfer.

Magicka Vs Stamina

Nightblades are often played in two styles; Magicka and Stamina. The main difference between them is the animation and how different stats, gears, and abilities are allocated to them. Magicka relies more on spells and magics to do the damage. On the other hand, Stamina is based on melee and bow attacks.

Things like Damage over time, Area effect, and burst damage are almost the same between the two styles. But, the Magicka build is more flexible in its destruction line abilities as it is specifically set up to work with the 3 elemental attacking staves.
