WoW TBC Classic Enchanting Guide
Professions are an absolute necessity when it comes to a full-game experience. All professions have their advantages, including enchanting, as it is a crafting profession beneficial for generating gold and late gameplay. This WoW Classic Enchanting guide provides the basics, clues, and tips about enchanting in WoW TBC Classic and ways to achieve the highest skill in this profession without further struggle.

What is WoW TBC Enchanting?
In World of Warcraft, enchanting is a primary profession that allows players to enhance their weapons and several armor pieces, including gloves, bracers, chest, cloak, boots, shield, and, exclusively in The Burning Crusade, rings. In other words, the enchanter holds the ability to add a permanent buff to his or other player's gear. Enchanting is pivotal for PvE and PvP in The Burning Crusade Classic's gameplay and equally helpful for leveling up, as it enhances the character’s stats. To use the ability, the player needs to have an Enchanted Rod and respective materials for enchanting.
The materials used in this profession take the form of dust, shards, and essences. Enchanters obtain these raw materials by using the side ability of Disenchanting, which extracts materials from armor and weapons of Uncommon, Rare, and Epic quality. The type of material is determined by the item level of the disenchanted gear. This way, the enchanter can purposefully gather specific raw materials and later use them to create more enchantments.

The Enchanter creates the Enchanted Rod by combining these raw materials and a particular metal rod forged by the Blacksmithing profession. To use the ability, the enchanter has to carry the Enchanted Rod in his inventory. The enchanter needs to periodically upgrade the Enchanted Rod to obtain advanced materials and create better enchantments as the skill goes up. The same scaling imposed on Enchanted Rod is also inflicted upon the ability of Disenchant, meaning that low-skilled enchanter cannot disenchant gear of high item level.
Tip: Enchanting benefits from being paired with Tailoring because it crafts gear items that can be disenchanted. Tailoring does not require any gathering professions, as it relies only on cloth, which can be looted from any humanoid mobs. Because of this, Tailoring and Enchanting are the perfect professions to take together.
Apart from being a valuable upgrade to the player’s gear, enchanting can also be very profitable. To be successful in battlegrounds and boss raiding, all players seek enchantments, which makes the service of enchanters to be of high demand in The Burning Crusade Classic. Another way to acquire gold via enchantment is by selling the excess materials in the Auction House.
How to become an enchanter in World of Warcraft

Learning the profession
Now that we have an understanding of what enchanting is let’s begin the guide.
The minimum requirement for picking up this profession is to have a level 5 character and ten copper coins. The Enchanting trainers, who are in all main cities of the Azeroth, include:
Horde
●Jhag in Orgrimmar
●Malcomb Wynn in Undercity
●Mot Dawnstrider in Thunder Bluff
●Vance Undergloom in Tirisfal Glades at Brill
●Sedana in Silvermoon City
Alliance
● Betty Quin in Stormwind City
● Thonys Pillarstone in Ironforge
● Lalina Summermoon in Darnassus
● Alanna Raveneye in Teldrassil
● Nahogg in The Exodar
Tip: Blood elves are the most suitable race for this profession as they have +10 to Enchanting due to their passive ability Arcane Affinity. These 10 points to Enchanting mean that recipes stay orange for ten extra skill points and are more likely to give you skill although being lower level recipe, which can be very helpful, for the lower level the recipe is, the less material it requires.
Leveling Enchanting in WoW TBC Classic
1 – 75 Apprentice Enchanter (required level 5)
Materials used for this skill level:
●Strange Dust
●Lesser Magic Essence
These materials come from disenchanting gear and weapons of 10 to 20 item level.

After learning the profession from Enchanting trainer, the player can purchase Copper Rod from Trade Supplies or Enchanting Supplies located in the same area as the trainer. This rod requires modification through Enchanting, using a Copper Rod, Strange Dust, and Lesser Magic Essence to create the Runed Copper Rod.
With the Runed Copper Rod in your inventory, you can create the following enchantments:
● Enchant Bracer - Minor Health (requires 1 Strange Dust)
Tip: First fifty skills of Enchanting can be acquired purely through the ability of Disenchant. When your Enchanting reaches the skill of 50, the ability of Disenchant can no longer grant any skill points towards Enchanting.
That is why we highly recommend attaining the first fifty points via Disenchant and then gaining the rest of the points from using the materials earned by disenchanting items (Of course, you can get cheap WoW TBC Items here at our store).
75 – 150 Journeyman Enchanter (required level 10, required minimum skill of 50)
Materials used for this skill:
● Strange Dust
● Lesser Magic Essence
● Greater Magic Essence
Tip: You can combine three Lesser Essences of the same type into one Greater Essence.
The materials listed below can be obtained from disenchanting gear and weapons of 10 to 25 item level:
●Lesser Astral Essence
●Soul Dust
These materials are the result of disenchanting gear and weapons of 20 to 30 item level.

Tip: Lesser and Greater Essences generally drop from disenchanting weapons; meanwhile, dust comes from armor items.
After learning Journeyman Enchanting, you may proceed with creating the following enchantments:
●Enchant Bracer - Minor Deflection (requires 1 Strange Dust, 1 Lesser Magic Essence)
●Enchant Bracer - Minor Stamina (requires 3 Strange Dust)
When you reach a skill of 100, you should aim to upgrade your Runed Copper Rod to Runed Silver Rod. For modification, you will need Silver Rod forged by Blacksmithing, 6 Strange Dust, 3 Greater Magic Essences and Runed Copper Rod from your inventory.
With the newly acquired Runed Silver Rod, you can use the following enchantments:
● Enchant Bracer - Minor Agility (requires 2 Strange Dust, 1 Greater Magic Essence)
● Enchant Shield - Minor Stamina (requires 2 Strange Dust, 1 Lesser Astral Essence)
150 – 225 Expert Enchanter (required level 20, required minimum skill of 120)

●Lesser Mystic Essence
●Greater Mystic Essence
●Vision Dust
You can get these materials from disenchanting gear and weapons of 30 to 40 item level.
After visiting the trainer to learn Expert Enchanting, the enchanter can advance to learn:
●Enchant Bracer - Lesser Stamina (Requires 2 Soul Dust)
Going over the 150 skill in enchanting requires you to upgrade your enchanting rod. The player needs to gather a Golden Rod forged by Blacksmithing, 2 Soul Dust, 2 Greater Astral Essences, 1 Iridescent Pearl, and the Runed Silver Rod from your inventory. These are the materials required for obtaining a superior Runed Golden Rod, which allows the player to create:
●Enchant Shield - Lesser Stamina (1 Soul Dust, 1 Lesser Mystic Essence)
●Enchant Bracer - Spirit (1 Lesser Mystic Essence)
●Enchant Bracer - Strength (1 Vision Dust)
As you reach the skill of 200, you must visit your Enchanting trainer to learn Artisan Enchanting. Also, with the skill of 200, another modification of Enchanted Rod is necessary. To obtain a new rod, you have to collect Truesilver Rod forged by Blacksmithing, 2 Vision Dust, 2 Greater Mystic Essences, 1 Black Pearl, and a Runed Golden Rod, which should be already present in your inventory. Combining all the ingredients, you will receive a Runed Truesilver Rod.
225 – 300 Artisan Enchanter (required level 35, required minimum skill of 200)
Materials used for this skill:
●Vision Dust
●Lesser Nether Essence
●Greater Nether Essence
●Large Radiant Shard
The materials can be obtained from Disenchant of gear and weapons of 35 to 45 item level.
●Dream Dust
●Lesser Eternal Essence
●Greater Eternal Essence
Listed reagents above drop from Disenchant of gear and weapons of 45 to 50 item level.
●Illusion Dust
●Large Brilliant Shard
These reagents you need to gather come from disenchanting gear and weapons of 56 to 60 item level.

With advanced Runed Truesilver Rod, you can focus your attention on the following enchantments:
●Enchant Cloak - Greater Defense (3 Vision Dust)
●Enchant Gloves - Agility (3 Vision Dust)
●Enchant Chest - Superior Health (6 Vision Dust)
●Enchant Bracer - Greater Strength (2 Dream dust, 1 Greater Nether Essence)
As you reach the skill of 250, your Enchanting will require a little bit of traveling because of specific formulas which are needed for further progress.
●Formula - Lesser Mana Oil - Sold in Cenarion Hold in Silithus from Kania
●Formula - Enchant Shield - Greater Stamina - Sold by Daniel Bartlett in Undercity or Mythrin’dir in Darnassus.
●Formula - Enchant Cloak - Superior Defence (requires enchanting of 285). Lorelae Wintersong sells the recipe in Moonglade’s Nighthaven.

Before stepping through the Dark Portal into the Outland, you should stop by at Nighthaven in Moonglade and buy Formula: Runed Arcanite Rod, a necessary interlink for creating Enchanted rods. To make a Runed Arcanite Rod, you will need the following:
●Arcanite Rod forged by Blacksmithing
●10 Illusion Dust,
●4 Greater Eternal Essences,
●2 Large Brilliant Shards,
●1 Golden Pearl
●Runed Truesilver Rod.
With the crafted Runed Arcanite Rod, you can enter through the Dark Portal.
300 – 375 Master Enchanter (required level 50, required minimum skill of 275)
It is necessary to remember that most of the Enchantment Formulas in The Burning Crusade expansion is obtained through reaching Honored or advanced rank of reputation with Outland factions. These recipes can also be attained from dungeon and raid instances.
Materials needed for this skill:
●Arcane Dust
●Lesser Planar Essence
●Greater Planar Essence
●Large Prismatic Shard
These materials drop from Disenchant of gear and weapons of 80 to 115 item level.

When reaching skill level 300, another upgrade of Enchanted Rod is required. The reagents include:
●Fel Iron Rod created by Blacksmithing
●4 Greater Eternal Essences
●6 Large Brilliant Shards
●Runed Arcanite Rod
These ingredients provide you with the ability to create Runed Fel Iron Rod, which is a pivotal item for the following enchantments:
●Enchant Bracer - Assault (6 Arcane Dust)
●Enchant Bracer - Brawn (6 Arcane Dust)
●Enchant Cloak - Major Armor (8 Arcane Dust)
●Enchant Gloves - Assault (8 Arcane Dust
●Enchant Chest - Major Spirit (2 Greater Planar Essences)
After visiting Shattrath City, do not forget to seek Madame Ruby. She is located in Lower City. She is the sole vendor for the Formula: Enchanted Shield – Major Stamina
(requires 15 Arcane Dust) and Formula: Superior Wizard Oil (requires 3 Arcane Dust, 1 Nightmare Vine, and 1 Imbued Vial).
These formulas should provide you with enough skill to be able to learn Formula: Runed Adamantite Rod. Horde players can obtain this formula from Rungor in Stonebreaker in Terokkar Forest, and Alliance players need to stop by Vodesiin at the Temple of Telhamat in Hellfire Peninsula. To create Runed Adamantite Rod, you need to gather Adamantite Rod from Blacksmither, 8 Greater Planar Essences, 8 Large Prismatic Shards, 1 Primal Might, and Runed Fel Iron Rod. This is the final upgrade of the enchanter's rod.
Before reaching max level in Enchanting, the last step requires you to obtain Revered reputation with The Consortium and Sha’tar. These two factions sell enchantment formulas for rings:
●Formula: Enchant Ring - Striking (requires 6 Arcane Dust, 2 Large Prismatic Shards)
●Formula: Enchant Ring - Healing Power (requires 5 Arcane Dust, 2 Large Prismatic Shards, 3 Greater Planar Essences)
The formulas mentioned above should help you to reach the maximum level of Enchanting comfortably. There are many more formulas you can collect and earn through reputation or in dungeons and raids. Notable mentions are:
●Formula: Enchant Weapon - Mongoose, an enchantment that occasionally increases Agility by 120. This formula drops from Moroes in Karazhan.
●Formula: Enchant Cloak - Steelweave, dropped by Priestess Delrissa in Magister’s Terrace.
