How To Capture Beasts in Path of Exile

 

Welcome to this Path of Exile guide where I’m going to show you how you can capture the beast easily within a minute and use beast crafting to collect rewards. Beast crafting can land you some unique rewards in POE and getting them is one hell of an experience. You will get challenging recipes and encounters. Excited? Let’s start then…

 

 

Capturing the Beast

 

 

When you enter a map with the bestiary league mechanic, you'll notice a quest from Einhar beastmaster who is the primary NPC for the mechanic.

 

 

He will ask you to hunt and capture the beast throughout the map. Beasts are indicated on the mini-map by a red icon and can come in two types; a yellow one which will indicate a beast with one bestiary mod and the red one which indicates two bestiary mods.

 

 

A red beast also has more life and pierocky spawns monsters, so they're much harder to capture.

 

 

Each map will spawn at least one red beast and two to five yellow beasts. So, in order to capture these beasts, you just have to engage them and basically kill them. Read the POE Maps guide to get more understanding of the Map.

 

 

When the health of the beast drops to about fifty percent, Einhar will start to help you, and when the beast drops to low enough life he'll throw a net at the beast indicating that it's been captured. Once the beast is down with HP, right-click to select the desired net, and once the desired net is selected press “V” to throw the net on the beast to capture it.

 

 

 

You can have nets from the normal loots but they aren’t much reliable. Instead, we insist that you buy nets from the Einhar. Of course, you can check our cheap PoE Currency first.

 

 

Beast Crafting

 

 

So once you've captured a few beasts, you can now do something called beast crafting. You can access that through a special area for the league mechanic called the menagerie.

 

 

You can access the menagerie by clicking the waypoint and by clicking the travel to your menagerie button or you can also access imaginary by going to the Einhar NPC and clicking visit menagerie.

 

 

 

You will see the blood Altar, which is where you do all of your beast craftings. So when you click on the blood altar, a list of recipes that you can craft will show up.

 

 

Some of these can range from creating basic currency items and unique to some very powerful reps recipes such as fully linking a rare item and a six socket rare item, creating an imprint which is something that's very powerful.

 

 

To do beast crafting all you need to do is look at the recipes and gather the items required to complete the recipe (mainly red and yellow Beasts). Once you have all the required items, just click on the craft button below the menu and it will spawn the encounter.

 

 

Once you kill the beast, you can click on the blood altar to collect the reward.

 

 

That’s not the only thing, there are portals and other activities that you can do in the Blood Altar to collect rewards through beast capturing.
