12 Warlock Runes in WoW Season of Discovery (Horde and Alliance)

Runes are items that can be found in WoW Classic’s Season of Discovery. They are placed in gear slots and grant the character passive effects or unlock new spells. Horde: Go to Tirisfal Glades and find a dead acolyte near Scarlet Monastery. Loot his body and get a powerless artifact. Take the artifact to the Warlock trainer in Brill and get a quest to activate it. Go back to the dead acolyte and use the artifact to get a blood offering debuff. Run to Undercity and find the Warlock trainer in the Magic Quarter. Talk to him with the debuff active and get the rune.

To get Lake of Fire rune, you need to buy a Demolition Explosive from a vendor named Zixil, who patrols the road between Tarren Mill and Southshore in Hillsbrad Foothills. Then, you need to go to Durnholde Keep and use the explosive on a pile of rubble near the entrance. This will reveal a storage locker that contains the rune.

To obtain the Master Channeler rune, you can either buy a Malevolent Pie from a traveling merchant in Loch Modan (Alliance) or visit the Altar of Thorns in The Barrens (Horde).

Dun Morogh (Alliance): Find the Frozen Trogg at Gol’Bolar Quarry, around 69, 58. He’s in the middle of the quarry near a group of trees.

Durotar (Horde): Find the Frozen Makrura near the Burning Blade Coven, around 58.8, 45.6. He’s on the shore next to a large rock.

Elwynn Forest (Alliance): Find the Frozen Murloc at Stonecairn Lake, around 74, 59. He’s on the island in the middle of the lake.

Tirisfal Glades (Horde): Find the Frozen Trogg near the Night Web’s Hollow, around 28, 58. He’s in the cave surrounded by spiders.

To obtain the Haunt rune, you need to complete a quest in your starting zone that involves finding a rune among some frozen enemies. Depending on your faction and starting zone, the quest giver and the enemies can vary.

Dun Morogh (Alliance): The quest is called Stolen Power and you can get it from Alamar Grimm, the Warlock Trainer in Anvilmar. You need to find a Rockjaw Footlocker among the troggs southwest of the building and loot the Rune of Haunting from it.

Durotar (Horde): The quest is also called Stolen Power and you can get it from Nartok, the Warlock Trainer in The Den. You need to find a Frozen Makrura among the makruras near the Burning Blade Coven and loot the Rune of Haunting from it.

Elwynn Forest (Alliance): The quest is called A Frozen Mystery and you can get it from Drusilla La Salle, the Warlock Trainer in Northshire Abbey. You need to find a Frozen Murloc among the murlocs near the Crystal Lake and loot the Rune of Haunting from it.

To obtain the Metamorphosis rune, you need to complete a quest chain that starts in The Barrens. Depending on your faction, the quest giver and the locations will vary.

The Barrens (Horde): The quest chain starts with The Orb of Soran'ruk, given by Doan Karhan near Camp Taurajo. You need to collect fragments of the orb from Twilight Acolytes in Ashenvale or Blackfathom Deeps, and a large fragment from Shadowfang Darksoul in Shadowfang Keep. You also need to get the Orb of Des from the Tower of Ilgalar in Redridge Mountains and the Bough of Altek from the Tower of Althalaxx in Darkshore. The next quest is The Conjuring, which requires you to collect Blood of the Legion from demons at Demon Fall Ridge in Ashenvale and perform a ritual at the altar. To get Demonic Grace rune, you need to collect and use certain items in a demonic ritual, depending on your faction and zone. For example, in Dun Morogh, you need to collect an Ominous Tome, Wendigo Blood, and a Wolf Jawbone, and use them at the Ritual Stone on Shimmer Ridge. In Durotar, you need to collect a Demon's Eye, a Scorpid Tail, and a Cactus Apple, and use them at the Ritual Stone near the entrance of Razor Hill.

To get Demonic Pact rune, you need to complete three quests for Grizzby in Ratchet, The Barrens (in the inn on the south side, around 62, 39), and collect various items from different zones or the auction house.

Fish Oil: 24 Fish Oil, found from Murlocs and Naga starting at level 25. Common in Hillsbrad Foothills and Blackfathom Deeps.

• Dark Iron Ordinance: 20 Dark Iron Ordinance, dropped by higher level Dark Iron Dwarves. Found among other places in Wetlands.

• Shredder Turbochargers: 16 Shredder Turbocharger, created by using Shredder Autosalvage Unit on Venture Co Shredders in Stonetalon Mountains. You can get the Shredder Autosalvage Unit from Engineering.

After you complete these quests, Grizzby will sell you the Rune of Survival for 5 gold, which you can right-click to learn the rune. If you need SoD gold, you can buy it from a trustworthy store like SSEGold.

To get Everlasting Affliction rune, you need to turn in Waylaid Supplies until you reach Friendly reputation with the Azeroth Commerce Authority faction. Then you can purchase a Rune of Everlasting Affliction from the Supply Officers in Darnassus, Ironforge, or Stormwind City for 2 gold.

To get Incinerate rune, you need to kill Incinerator Gar'im, a level 23 elite in a cave in Redridge Mountains.
