Timewalking is no longer just a feature exclusive to retail WoW. In a surprise twist, WoW Classic players now get to enjoy Timewalking events in Cataclysm Classic and beyond. Whether you're looking to score some unique transmogs, buy catch-up gear for alts, or grab rare mounts and toys, the Timewalking vendor is your go-to stop.

But finding the vendor and understanding what’s available can be confusing—especially for Classic players new to this feature. What Is Timewalking in WoW Classic?

Timewalking is a limited-time event where players can queue for dungeons from earlier expansions, with their character and gear temporarily scaled down to match the dungeon’s original difficulty.

In Cataclysm Classic and future Classic+ phases, Timewalking brings players back to old content with a fresh coat of paint, offering:

• Scaled difficulty for dungeons like The Arcatraz or Black Morass

• Badges that can be traded for high-value rewards

• Access to nostalgic gear from older expansions

• A way for returning players or alts to catch up quickly

Where Is the Timewalking Vendor in WoW Classic?

The Timewalking vendor rotates depending on the expansion event currently active. For each Timewalking week, a specific vendor will appear in your faction’s capital city, offering rewards themed around that expansion.

Alliance Vendor Location:

• Kaitlyn Stampf – Typically found near the Caverns of Time portal or in Stormwind City during Timewalking weeks.

Horde Vendor Location:

• Orgrimmar’s Portal Room, near the Caverns of Time portal, or just outside the Warchief’s Command Board.

✅ Note: In Classic, the vendors may also appear in areas near portals to the relevant expansion zones—like Shattrath (for Burning Crusade Timewalking) or Dalaran (for Wrath Timewalking).

What Is the Timewalking Currency in Classic?

During Timewalking events, you’ll earn Timewarped Badges—the core currency used to purchase all vendor rewards.

  • Finishing weekly quests (usually offered by Chromie)

  • Participating in bonus events
