Wardogs Season 2 Update: Wipe Details, New Weapons & Key Changes

The Wardogs Season 2 is on the horizon. Four guns, four vehicles, three buildables, a rain preset, a rebuilt suppression system, and a full wipe that drops everyone to level one. I have played since Early Access launched in September, and no patch has changed a normal match more than this one.

Two things matter before you log in. Your cash is gone and your levels are gone. If you would rather fight than farm the climb back, plenty of players grab WARDOGS Cash and class leveling from SSEGold rather than grind it out alone.

What The Wipe Takes

Cash does not carry over. Whatever sat in your balance when Season 1 ended converts into Gold Bars, and Gold Bars only buy cosmetics. Level resets to one, and so do all six role tracks: Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver, Pilot. Every level gated weapon and vehicle locks again. Only Gold Bars, cosmetics, and Gold Market unlocks survive. Spend before a wipe, not after.

The Grind Got Shorter

Bulkhead's notes admit levels 10 to 20 were a slow grind where players stalled before unlocking the gear that defines a role, so the XP got cut. Level 20 now takes 111,500 total XP instead of 250,000, which they say is less than half the playtime. Level 15 drops from 110,000 to 54,750. You are still grinding, just not for a week in a starter kit.

Unlocks moved with it. The PKM arrives at level 15 instead of 30. The Medical Bag jumps from 24 to 14, so medic is finally worth playing early. The M4 slid to 28 because the new TCX-SPR took its slot at 20. Assault also picked up C4 and the Molotov, giving base busting a proper home.

The Four New Guns

The TCX-SPR is a 7.62x39mm assault rifle at Assault level 20.
The PP-19 Bizon is a 9x19mm SMG that medics unlock by default.
The Evo-3 Ultra is a .308 Win LMG at Support level 30.
The M14 is a .308 Win marksman rifle at Recon level 25, with bipods and a Leatherwood ART II scope behind it.
There is also a Molotov that splashes fire on impact, burns foliage, and loses punch in the rain. Before you spend, the WARDOGS weapons tier list is worth a look.

Rain, Vehicles, And Building

Rain is the headline. Visibility drops, spotting range shrinks, and thunder rolls across the whole server at once, loud enough to bury footsteps. It sounds different on a roof, on a helmet, and on open ground. Break a roof and it pours through. Weather is locked for the match, so whatever you spawn into is what you plan around.

Four vehicles join the roster:
the Wolf-110 light transport
an armed Wolf-110 with a ring mounted M2 Browning
the T-72B3
the Flakpanzer Gepard
Drivers unlock the armed Wolf at 16, the T-72B3 at 20, and the Gepard at 25. Tracked vehicles feel heavier now, and the Humvee was reworked to climb rough ground better.

Three buildables landed as well:
MG Nest,
Large Shelter
Wooden Step
The real change is cost. A mortar jumped from 150 build supplies to 600, a door from 22 to 80, and a gate from 85 to 200. Drill rigs cap at 300 seconds of uptime instead of 375. Building is an investment now.

The Balance Pass

High calibers were dealing sniper damage at assault rifle fire rates, so base damage came down. The .308 round lost 25 percent, 7.62x54mmR lost 20, 7.62x39mm lost 19, and .50 Cal lost 16. Snipers gained hit location damage to keep the one shot feel, and the FAL still hits hardest per shot among assault rifles.

Armor took a hit too. Level 3 reduction fell from 55 to 50 percent, and level 4 from 65 to 60. The level 4 helmet now muffles audio and proximity chat, narrows your view, and fogs up when you sprint, all in exchange for cutting suppression by 80 percent. Level 3 cuts it by 68.

Suppression itself was rebuilt on shared falloff curves, so getting shot at finally reads consistently no matter who is firing. Near misses from small and medium calibers bite harder, and screen shake was toned down so it stops fighting you for control. Scout rifle headshots now drop an unhelmeted target in one. Parachutes became a genuine gamble after the price jump to 500 and the change that stops them opening below about 10 meters.

Lone star, Team Switching, And The Wager Vendor

Blue team losing stopped being a joke and started breaking matches, so Bulkhead is testing something. Lone star gets cash and XP win bonuses plus teamplay multipliers for Season 2 only, and all three Bakurani spawns moved. Teams at least 40 points behind second place get 20 percent off at the vendor. Once a squad is more than 10 points up, switching is restricted: no second switch for 15 minutes, and if you switch or join late, your map stays obscured and the spawn vehicle stays locked until you touch the Control Zone.

The Wager Vendor, where you stake your own cash on your objectives, is not live at launch. It opens later in Season 2, and Bulkhead has said it will come and go.

Odds And Ends

Region based ping limits are now enforced on official servers, and repeated high pings get you kicked, with server side lag spikes excluded from the measurement. Seeding an empty server earns rewards and a vendor discount once the match begins. Rebuy Last Loadout now fills the vendor with your previous kit so you can edit it first. Bulkhead also flagged one known issue themselves: some weapon inspects are still silent.

Verdict

Season 2 tunes Wardogs around how the game is actually played. Calibers are checked, armor carries a real cost, cover is worth building, and rain changes every fight on a wet map without adding a single new asset. Spend your cash, relearn your kit, and watch the SSEGold news section as the meta settles.
