What is Tailoring?
Tailoring is quite a useful skill within WoW Classic. Tailors primarily create cloth armor and cloaks. At max level, these items either offer resistance or are part of a set with a powerful proc. Tailors craft a variety of bags including the ubiquitous Runecloth Bag, but also specialty bags like Big Bag of Enchantment for Enchanters, Satchel of Cenarius for Herbalists, and Core Felcloth Bag for Warlocks. Tailors can also make RP gear, including shirts, which has no combat value but looks very pretty, such as White Wedding Dress and Black Swashbuckler's Shirt.
How to choose Tailoring according to your class?
Mage: Tailoring lets you create equipment which will serve you well in both PvP and PvE: Robe of the Archmage & Belt of the Archmage;
Priest: Tailoring lets you craft equipment which will come in handy against players and creatures alike: Truefaith Vestments & Mooncloth Circlet;
Warlock: Tailoring lets you craft great gear for use in PvP and PvE: Robe of the Void & Felcloth Gloves.
How to start Tailoring?
The easiest way to start learning Tailoring is to simply to talk to a guard in any capital city. They will give you directions to a Tailoring Trainer who will help you get started.
Where to find Tailoring Trainers?
The easiest way to level your tailoring is by starting in one of your faction’s major cities. For Alliance, Stormwind is recommended for less traveling later on, while Undercity is more advantageous for Horde players. Here’s where you can learn each stage of tailoring:
How to Craft with Tailoring?
Tailors do not need any special tool, such as an Anvil or a Forge, to do craft items. They can craft the patterns they know anywhere on Azeroth. The only thing they need to do is prepare the cloths they have by processing them into craftable bolts. As you keep learning new patterns, you will notice different colors for those in your Tailoring window. These colors represent the skill level needed:
Orange means you can hardly craft this pattern and every successful attempt will definitely increase your Tailoring skill;
Yellow means you can normally craft this pattern and every successful attempt will generally increase your Tailoring skill;
Green means you can easily craft this pattern and your attempts will rarely fail and so every successful attempt may not increase your Tailoring skill;
Gray means you can craft this pattern with no effort, your attempts will never fail and so it will not increase your Tailoring skill.
How to Quickly Level Tailoring from 1 to 300?

Any other Tips?
You may notice that Money is hard to come by in WoW Classic. You should go for recipes that can make some money off, or at least not lose too much. There are some recipes in between that, with a good price on AH, you can earn money on, and probably will want to do until it's grey, and then some. The only one I remember from the top of my head is in leatherworking, Hillman's shoulders, which you can make 5-6s per item, buying from AH and vendoring when you've made them. There are sure to be some of them in tailoring too.
