Appearance

The Hex Serpent is visually a black and red recoloring of the Sand Snake, adorned with a yellow crown and glowing yellow eyes.

Trait: Witchcraft / Ritual

The Hex Serpent’s passive mechanic revolves around ritualistic plant consumption:

• Plant 5 single-harvest plants inside a Hex Circle cosmetic.

• Periodically (every 12:00 to 4:00 minutes), the Hex Serpent will initiate a ritual, consume those plants, and hand out two rounds of rewards:

  1. Gears, Seeds, Sheckles, Eggs 

  2. Mutations for nearby plants (like Bloodlit, Vamp, Zombified, Celestial, etc.) 

• The number and quality of rewards depend on Ritual Power — which is derived from the combined rarity / variant levels of the plants used. (e.g. Silver = 1 pt, Gold = 2 pts, Rainbow = 3 pts) 

• There are limits: if you place more than 5 plants, you may get a “too many plants” warning and cooldown reset issues. 

• Some players have noted the ritual can give mutations (Bloodlit, Zombified, Celestial) to plants nearby.

• Only single harvest plants count toward the ritual — multi-harvest plants do not prevent the ability from triggering.
