Tips for FFXIV Heavensward High Level Upgrading
With the releasing of Heavensward, FFXIV becomes more and more popular. This guide is to share some tips for FFXIV Heavensward leveling from 50-60.FLYING MOUNTS:
- Black chocobo, lvl 52 MSQ
- Manacutter (airship), lvl 55 MSQ
- Midgardsormr, lvl 59 MSQ
TIPS/TRICKS:
1) unlock flying for the zone as soon as possible. You should avoid annoying quests and terrain. Generally, each zone has 15 Aether currents; 10 on map, 5 from quests. Out of the 5 from quests, 4 are usually from side quests and 1 from main scenario quest.
The final zone only has 5 Aether currents, all of which are from main scenario quest. The reason why unlock flying mounts are mainly for high level leveling. When you reach level 56, quest Western Coerthas Highlands needs flying.
2)Do clan mark bills for extra XP. At level 53, there will be 3 grades of daily hunts marks unlocked. Each of them has 5 marks, each of which can reward you about 18-34K XP for killing 1-3 monsters. Besides, you can get centurio seals. You can get many FFXIV Gils at the same time.
Lv 53 - One-star Clan Mark Bills (daily) - 23,040 XP / mark
Lv 56 - Two-star Clan Mark Bills (daily) - 28,800 XP / mark
Lv 59 - Three-star Clan Mark Bills (daily) - 34,560 XP / mark
3) watch out for sightseeing vistas, especially when you have a flying mount. You can get 18k XP from sightseeing log. According to my experience, most of the vistas are predictable.
4) Don't forget about job quests to unlock new skills. Those give decent amounts of XP too!!
5) Do daily trial roulette for XP + bonus XP. Challenge logs give good XP too.
6) Dungeons are excellent source for XP and gear. Joining as most FATEs as you can, so that you can get tons of XP in short time. The most number of FATEs are Dravanian, Churning, North Thanalan.
7)There are other small little things that help too such as always eating food for 3% EXP bonus, summoning Chocobo out to help with DPS, using Chocobo porter to travel, etc.
Hope these can be helpful.
