How to be a good Aion Gladiator
Warriors tend to be masters of close combat and offer a good solid defense to tank enemies. They are about power, sheer strength and true grit. Warriors is to defense but can provide with tremendous force and power. You can choose Warrior as your first choice if you look for a fairly easy class. Equipped with a 1H sword as your first weapon, you can now start your adventure. Once reaching level 9, you will accept the Daeva quest, during the course of which you can choose between Gladiator or Templar as your specialization.
If you choose Gladiator, then you choose to be the master of all weapon types. Gladiators focus on dealing with levels of DPS and are the raw strength of any faction. They are good at using both single target and AoE styles.
Gladiators favored style of play are 2H Swor or polearm class weapons which will excel in battle. To be a Gladiator, the main task is to deal damage to the enemy fast and hard, and at the same time to be a viable off-tank. The necessary styles are stun skills, AoE skill-chains and the ability to knock down on critical hits due to 2H weapons.
To disrupt the enemy rather than ruthlessly attack them is the main focus of the Gladiator, so they are suited to be at the front of any battle, which means Gladiators should have a healing at hand whether it is from abilities, team-mates or potions.

Weapons
Polearm is the most popular weapon used by Gladiators. Although there are Axe’s in Aion they come under the same category as swords. In Aion, Shields don’t add to defense stats but are used instead for shield blocks and shield skills.
Solo Play
Gladiators have a high defense using plate armor which can be bought via Aion Kinah. so they are known as an off tank. They have various of attack skills which allows them to join in solo combat with little trouble. Gladiators can easily switch to the required weapon of choice in the suitable time from 2H weapon for AoE sweeping attacks and stuns with high damage blows, to Dual wielding weapons for rapid attacks of lighter damage. This is because they have a wide selection of weapons.
The disadvantage of Gladiators is lack of health replenishment skills during combat, which makes them always pay high attention to their health. It is suggested you discard the Shield & Sword and stick to the two-handed weapon great sword or polearm in solo play. Also, you will get a Stigma skill which let you use dual weapons and can be handy to keep supplying bandage close and potions.
Gladiators can use chain skills to knock the opponent off their weapon and easily suffer various chain skills because of their ability to use the polearm and other 2H weapon. Through using AoE abilities, Gladiators can gain capability to attack several opponents at once.
Group Play
As Gladiators can possess AoE attacks, they can play an important role in group play. Due to the ability of possessing AOE attacks, they can become extremely effective when several opponents need to fight at once.
When using AOE skills, Gladiators should be careful enough of the threat. To avoid them, you may focus on a single target. Or when you are protecting Mage classes or Priests, you can cause enough aggro as you can to make attackers focus on them instead of the weaker casters.
