FIFA 21 News: Release date, Price, Demo, What we expect & More

EA has been releasing new FIFA games every year but there’s going to be something special about this year's FIFA 21.

What is the release date of FIFA 21?

FIFA 21 release date is anticipated to be on September 25, 2020. The game is set to be launched for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PC Windows and Nintendo Switch platforms.

Early access is usually given to those who pre-order the video game, indicating they are able to play in advance of that date - generally, three or 4 days, so that could be September 21 or 22. However, no official date has been set yet, we all have to wait till EA Sports' special video game conference, which generally happens in June or July.

What is the price of FIFA 21?

According to fifplay, FIFA 21 will cost $59.99 (standard edition), $79.99 (Champions Edition) and $99.99 (Ultimate Edition). The special and supreme editions consist of a load of additional material, such as totally free FUT packs and special gamer choices. But these are waiting for finalization.

When is the Demo of FIFA 21 released?

With this year’s game expected on Friday, 25 September 2020, the demo should be on consoles from Friday, 11 September 2020. At that time, all you need to do his head to the PlayStation, Xbox Live or Origin store – search FIFA 21 and install the demo!

What do we expect in FIFA 21?

FIFA 20 is definitely one of the much better video games in the FIFA series, at least in recent memory. But what do we really want in the next FIFA game? Obviously there's something else need to improve in-game.

1. Visuals and Graphics Advancements

You may have noticed that graphics advancements in FIFA games released over the past 3 years have not been groundbreaking. That is because the console generation is nearing its end and developers are running low on power to throw something awe-inspiring at the old hardware. This year is different though. Xbox Series X and PS5 will be released in the coming holiday season and both the consoles are powerhouses so EA can put the extra power of these new consoles to work by introducing visual advancements in FIFA 21. The new hardware will feature ray tracing, audio tracing and other awesome sounding technologies to take the FIFA 21 experience to the next level.

2. More street games

Volta brought all the fun of FIFA Street to FIFA 20.  So if EA was prepared to upgrade and repeat Volta and make it even more haptic and unreasonable then we're sure that would go down a storm. Integrating both the street game and the reasonable football FIFA is understood for would develop a lot more worth for the gamer in the yearly release cycle.

3. More official leagues & clubs

One area which FIFA cannot be faulted much for is that of official licensing and the game has long featured a vast array of clubs from across the world.

However, in FIFA 20 Juventus are known as Piemonte Calcio and Barcelona are without a home as there is no Camp Nou. Those particular quirks will continue thanks to Konami boasting exclusive rights. There is arguably something of a licence race occurring between the two brands, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

4. Licensing agreements

Naturally, it would be nice to see FIFA regain its licensing contracts so we don't need to lose Juventus to PES in the next iteration, in addition to the special stadiums like Camp Nou that were missing from last year's release. Ultimate Team is likewise ending up being a growing interest in fans, more so than ever due to the openness on pack opening chances and heat from national legal commissions around the globe that have triggered quite a stir within the community.

5. Enhance Career mode

Career mode was first introduced in FIFA 17. It was a huge success when it first came out in 2016. However, EA has not done anything praiseworthy afterward. The career modes in games following FIFA 17 are all very repetitive and oh-so-similar so this year should bring something new to the players. Personally, I’m not too excited about the career mode because it may again be a similar old story with new faces.

6. Kit Customisation

Kit Customisation would be a welcome addition to FIFA Career Mode, and it sounds simple enough, especially considering that custom skins are a common trait in pretty much every video game nowadays.

Whilst the idea is fantastic, and would certainly be a welcome addition, implementing the feature could be incredibly challenging. But players are really looking forward to it.

7. Add New Icons

Each new FIFA title sees new Icons joining the roster of heroes from seasons gone by and FIFA 21 should be no different. Some of the more popular potential new Icons are David Beckham, Franz Beckenbauer, Oliver Kahn and Francesco Totti.

Well, if EA would actually try to make FIFA 21 as good as it could be, and making the system fairer and packs less expensive, global players will be absolutely crazy about it. Until then, just enjoy the journey in FIFA 20!
