Fight Strategy:
Phase 1:
The boss engages when you walk past the halfway mark, but doesn’t spawn until 17 seconds in. Make sure you prep shields, regens, Shadewalker, Huton, etc. with this in mind. Take Blue Paint before you start so you don’t have to take it for the first mechanic.
For Flash Fire, simply paint the Blue Tear before it goes off. Flash Gale must be shared between party members. Alternatively, a PLD or DRK can use an invulnerability. Be ready to heal the Demonic Howl right afterwards if you choose to stack.
The first Divine Lure will come from the Southwest.
If two melees are tethered together for Demonic Pain, stand at max melee range on opposite sides of the boss - it will be far enough.
Phase 2:
[Our assigned spots were A marker in the Southwest corner on the south wall and B marker in the Southwest corner on the west wall.]
Assign a spot to bait Rock Hard. Everyone stands on the spot, and when the AoE circles appear, everyone moves out. [We baited Rock Hard on A.]
Assign one player (preferably healer) to paint the Red Heart and become Typhon. Designate a safe spot near the boss, and blow the Easterlies away from that safe spot. [Our safe spot was A.]
Last Kiss should be passed to the OT. The OT should be standing on a designated spot behind the boss to make passing the debuff easier. [Our OT stood on B.]
The Divine Lure comes from the Southeast. It is accompanied with a Demonic Storm, so everyone stand near the boss looking away. The healer afflicted with Poltergeist doesn’t need to stack.
Phase 3:
All players must paint the Blue Tear first, then the Black Moon in order to mitigate Flash Fire and dodge Earthquake. You can exit Air Force right after Earthquake hits.
Stay behind the boss close to the painting to dodge Demonic Wave.
The assigned paint players should go get their paint afterwards to prepare for Apathy. As soon as Apathy debuff hits, use the Duty Action. There is a small delay between painting and being cleansed.
Two DPS will be targeted with Demonic Stone. Make sure to dodge the subsequent AoEs and not to lead any AoEs into party members.
Pass Last Kiss onto the OT, preferably behind the boss.
Phase 4:
The player assigned to the Yellow Paint should paint the Yellow Sun right away. All players must bait Rock Hard at a designated spot, then line of sight Flash Torrent behind the pillar that spawns from the Yellow Sun.
Afterwards, stack on the designated safe spot and have the Red Paint player blow the Easterlies away again.
The boss will cast Demonic Spout. The four DPS should stack on each other, and move together to avoid taking up space. Move back to the original position to stack for Demonic Storm.
Stack loosely around the boss to prepare for Last Kiss, and don’t be in the middle of the arena to dodge the water AoE. This Last Kiss resolves at the same time as Demonic Howl, so extra mitigation and/or shielding may be necessary.
Phase 5:
Again, the same as Phase 3 - all players must paint the Blue Tear first, then the Black Moon in order to mitigate Flash Fire and dodge Earthquake.
Players must be prepared to stack for Flash Gale as soon as Earthquake resolves, and it spawns on the west side of the arena, away from the paint and boss. Alternatively, have a PLD or DRK invuln it. Demonic Howl resolves at the same time, so prepare mitigation and healing.
DPS must dodge Demonic Stone while looking away from Divine Lure.
Phase 6:
Again, the same as Phase 4 - the player assigned to the Yellow Paint should paint the Yellow Sun right away. All players must bait Rock Hard at a designated spot, then line of sight Flash Torrent behind the pillar that spawns from the Yellow Sun.
Afterwards, stack on the designated safe spot and have the Red Paint player blow the Easterlies away again.
Do not heal the final Demonic Howl - right after is the enrage cast. Everyone should be DPSing at this point to try and beat enrage.
