Lost Ark Abyss Dungeons Guide
Lost Ark introduced some new characters and a couple of new raids in their May 2022 update including some new Guardian raids. Amazon is shooting new things every month and I don't know what they're trying to do for us, but it’s working! However, none of the novelty could outlive the chaos and thrill Abyss Dungeons bring and the number of rewards they give upon completion.
They are difficult enough to keep you on the edge of your seat and generous enough to make you melt on your gaming chair.
I'm really excited for today's Lost Ark Abyss Dungeons guide because I’ll be covering something I was looking to talk about for quite a while. Now that I’ve finally got the chance, I’ll start slashing all the questions one by one.
Starting with the obvious, basic, and Important…
What are Lost Ark Abyssal Dungeons?
Abyssal Dungeon is an endgame activity in Lost Ark that is a mix of Chaos Dungeon and Guardian Raids except these are a lot harder to conquer. A team of players passes through the dungeon killing the mobs to face the final boss.
Like Guardian Raids, if a team player dies, he can not respawn until the team either finishes the dungeon or fails. But you can regroup, discuss and make strategy, exchange supplies at two points in the dungeons, and retry killing the boss as many times as you want. There are tons of restrictions on the use of supplies and potions, we’ll get to that later.
The Bosses, however, have unique mechanics to them which, if ignored, will result in a clean sweep of the whole team. That’s why I’ve said above that Abyssal Dungeons are a hell of a lot harder than Chaos Dungeons.
But, the harder the difficulty, the bigger the rewards. Abyssal Dungeons are notorious for their gorgeous rewards. I’ll get to that in a minute.
But, first, let’s check out…
How to unlock Abyssal Dungeons in Lost Ark?
As you know, everything good comes to you when you follow the storyline in the Lost Ark. Same goes for Abyssal Dungeons. To access the Abyss Dungeons in Lost Ark, you must first travel to Northern Verns.
You should be able to resume your Blue World Quest after reaching level 50 and arriving in Vern. In Northern Vern, continue the Blue World Quests until you reach and complete "Waiting and Leaving".
The Abyss Dungeons will be unlocked when you accomplish this mission. A large message will flash immediately on your screen telling you the same.
To access an Abyssal Dungeon, open the map in any of Lost Ark's major cities after completing the Waiting and Leaving Quest. There is a Blue Crystal Icon on the Gate Icon. This is a list of the Abydos Dungeons icons.
Each dungeon is distinct from the rest. The item level requirements for each Abyss Dungeon vary, ranging from 325 all the way up to 1325.
It is imperative that you have complete faith in your armour and equipment prior to venturing into any Abyss Dungeon. They are, after all, the dungeons at the end of the game.
Depending on how often you play, each Dungeon may be played as much as three times per week. Prior to venturing into the Abyss Dungeons, assemble your pals and form a team.

What you need to know about Lost Ark Abyss Dungeons
I’m listing out a couple of things you need to know about Abyssal Dungeons before you enter them. These things need your special attention that’s why I’ve put them here instead of mixing them up in other sections. So here we go:
-Abyssal Dungeons, much like other endgame activities you have encountered, are divided into various regions. In order to access the later Abyssal Dungeons, you need to progress into the story and you’ll also have to meet item level requirements.
So, if you’re just at level 50 and reading this guide, then you should focus on Ancient Elvaria right now.
-On your Abyssal Dungeon window, you can see on the left side that every region is divided into various regions. The first region, obviously, is the first dungeon you’ll have access to and in order to enter the second one, you need to have completed the first region.
Most regions have two Dungeons, and some have more than two, but if you need exact info, you need to check out your Abysaal Dungeon menu.
-Abyssal Dungeons are more like traditional style activities. You have to work your way through it. You will get to face trash mobs and a couple of major bosses. The only difference between Abyssal Dungeons and other Dungeons is that in other Dungeons, you hit the boss until he’s dead; You can brute force your way through it.
Meanwhile, in Abyssal Dungeons the bosses have mechanics that you need to worry about because some of these mechanics, if taken for granted, can cause team wipes.
Rewards from Abyssal Dungeons
Abyssal Dungeons makeup for the difficulty and heavy mechanics with the handsome completion rewards that includes, but not limited to, the following items:
○Abyssal Gear and currency
○Roster-wide Gold coins
○Class Specific Engravings & accessories
There is an additional chest as well that you can open at the cost of 30 gold coins if you want some additional materials. That will include a variety of things including stuff you can use to hone your gear and other materials like Hunger Ring, Harmony Shard, Voracious Necklace & Earrings, and like. See the picture below for more clear idea:
Finally, when you complete an Abyssal Dungeon, you should go to this location (See the Map below) to your gear set vendor or crafters. You can take your Abyssal Dungeon reward material there and use them to craft different arrays of gears that will increase your gear score and item level.
If you run out of gold in lost ark, we’ve got you covered in our Lost Ark Gold Guide. You’ll get a ton of tips on how you could get as much gold in Lost Ark as you can. You can also buy lost ark gold from SSEGold if you do not have enough time for farming it.
Can you play Abyssal Dungeons solo?
Well, you wish! But the cold hard truth is that you cannot complete the Abyss Dungeons on your own; you must have a certain number of players with you called your teammates.
If you are a solo player and don’t like to share the pride, then you can go for Chaos Dungeons or Guardian Raids. Abyssal Dungeons are a bit harder and have tough mechanics that’s why they don’t let you go there alone. Using the Group Finder or the Specified places in cities, players can enter Abyss Dungeons.
The new enemies in Abyss Dungeons need players to learn new mechanics and work together to defeat them. In order to defeat some boss mechanics, players will have to work together, and failure to do so may result in a party wipe or an extended battle with the monster.
How many times can you play Abyssal Dungeons?
Abyssal Dungeons are weekly activities as compared to Chaos Dungeons and Guardian raids which are daily activities. You can do Abyssal Dungeons only three times a week.
There’s a small catch. See, you can do Abyssal Dungeons more than three times but you won’t get any rewards from them. So, if you want to just help out your party in clearing the dungeon then you are absolutely free to do so but don’t expect any rewards for that.
How to Heal in Abyssal Dungeons?
Much like Guardian raids, Abyssal Dungeons also have restrictions on healings. You can not use your F1 potions and you can only use your potion that goes on your numerical bar. So you can not do much healing once you are in an Abyssal Dungeon.
But that’s not it, you also have limitations on the number of gear you bring. So once you begin, you can not swipe to different grenades and like. Your skills and your battle items are also locked. You basically make sure that you are prepared for the battle before you go in.
The good thing, however, is that like Guardian Raids you will have resupply zones that you’ll find at the beginning of the Abyssal Dungeons and one is located in the partway as well. You can use them to swap items and replenish them as well because you have a limited amount of potions you can use.
So basically, if you have done Guardian Raids, then you should be familiar with a lot of the stuff. However, be careful when you use the potions because if you spam them too much while fighting the bosses you’ll run out of them and things will get ugly from there.
I can’t believe we’re already at the end of the guide. Like it was so much fun to talk about Abyssal Dungeons. So what do you think about it? Also, If you want an Alt character in Lost Ark, make sure to drop by the Lost Ark Power Pass guide. I’m sure you’re planning to slash those bosses now. That's why I'll take your leave and let you own every region of the Abyssal Dungeons.
